Nearly 100 people attended this  afternoon workshop for all churches in the Woodbridge area, which explored a wide range of music for worship in many styles, led by Richard Hubbard, leader of the cathedral's Parish Music Development Project.

The day was intended to encourage churches of all denominations in the Woodbridge Deanery area to support each other by coming together to sing. There are around 40 churches in the area covered by the Deanery, which extends from Ashbocking in the west to the coast from Iken to Bawdsey.  Congregations vary in size from under 10 to over 200, and they worship in many different ways. Coming together to sing can encourage smaller churches, and enable churches of all sizes and styles to share in each other's ministry and mission.

Most of all, coming together to sing opens us to a transformative encounter with the living God.

The afternoon will ended with an act of worship, where the singers were joined by musicians from St Andrew's, Melton.

It is hoped to hold simialr Singing Days in other Deanery areas across Suffolk.
